He noted that Ratu Sukuna Road serves as one of the principal transport corridors in Fiji's capital city. Upgrading the road represents an important initiative by the Fijian Government to improve public infrastructure and build safer communities. Upon completion, the project is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion in Suva while providing a safer, more efficient transport environment for nearby schools, government institutions and surrounding communities.
The Ratu Sukuna 球友体育官网 Upgrade Project covers a 2.7-kilometre section of one of Suva's most important urban transport corridors. The route passes through key areas including the diplomatic quarter, senior government residential district, hospitals, schools and other major public facilities. The project involves a comprehensive upgrade of the existing two-lane asphalt roadway, including utility relocation and underground installation, demolition of existing concrete structures and pavement, construction of drainage culverts and catch basins, installation of curbs, pavement reconstruction, 球友体育官网 marking works, and street lighting, among other essential civil works.
